Friday Youth Club
Our free Friday Youth Club is the cornerstone of LMA Academy’s community engagement efforts. Held every Friday evening from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM, this vibrant event offers a variety of activities designed to engage and inspire youth aged 12-18.
- Sports & Games: Engage in boxing, kickboxing, wrestling training, and open mats for martial arts practice.
- Leisure Activities: Enjoy table tennis, American pool, and PlayStation gaming.
- Social Events: Participate in tug of war, and other team-building games.
MMA & Grappling
The LMA Grappling group is dedicated to teaching discipline and developing MMA skills. This program offers an element of competitiveness and is geared toward individuals who want to take grappling and related sports seriously. Participants will have the opportunity to train rigorously, with aspirations to compete in tournaments.
Our program caters to a wide range of skill levels, but it is particularly focused on those who are committed to advancing their grappling skills and showcasing their talents in competitive arenas.

Sunday Girls Youth Club
Join us every Sunday from 11 AM to 1 PM at LMA Academy for our free Girls Youth Club! This welcoming space is dedicated to girls aged 12 and up, providing unique opportunities for engagement and inspiration through a variety of fun and creative activities. Our youth club is more than just a place to hang out; it’s a safe space where girls in the community can develop holistically. With few opportunities available, this club offers a sanctuary for personal growth, support, and enjoyment. Weekly mentorship sessions and motivational talks are key features, encouraging positive life choices and self-improvement.

Lives Not Knives
The Lives Not Knives project at LMA Academy is dedicated to combating the rising issue of knife crime among youth. Recent statistics reveal a troubling increase in knife-related incidents, with Leicester experiencing 869 knife-related serious crimes in 2019 alone, including 5 killings, 13 attempted murders, and numerous assaults. Additionally, 24% of young adults admit to carrying a weapon, and 51% of knife crimes go unreported to the police.

These problems contribute to social issues like crime and poor mental health.
